OddsRabbit Weekly Platform Update (Issue 1) 🚀

Greetings, OddsRabbit Community,

I've been working hard on building the platform and wanted to share a weekly recap of features, improvements, and exciting updates on OddsRabbit.

We're getting close to the MVP, with mainly the creator and community management tools yet to be built. Not bad for precisely one month's worth of work, I started OddsRabbit on April 10th. As of sometime last week, the core community platform and function are already ready (as barebones as they are now).

Once a few more core functionalities are built, I'm hoping to start promoting and attracting creators to the OddsRabbit platform. I really believe there's value in creators owning their own community and ditching their reliance on algorithms.

Homepage, pricing, and others

In the past week, I've spent some time filling out the platform — we now have a homepage, creator page (why OddsRabbit?), and pricing page.

Please check these out as they explain the OddsRabbit platform a bit more, what it offers, and why you and your audience want to be here.

Mobile-friendliness

The platform is now mobile-friendly.

I didn't have an initial idea for OddsRabbit's design yet, and I didn't want to keep making edits while the initial design was finalized in my head. I have to say I'm quite happy with where it ended up.

Check it out on your phone, and let me know what you think!

Community functions

A few new community functions have been added this week.

Post badges

Posts now have a badge to indicate whether you're the community's creator, a mod, or an admin. This should help highlight posts that might be of more interest to certain users.

Sticky posts

Added the ability to sticky a post to the top of a community. Sticky posts are great for announcements, links to new content, links to your store etc.

Newsletter function (alpha)

Added the ability to send a post as an email newsletter to the community. This will be key for reach, engagement, and monetization. I envision communities enabling a new way of building an email list for brands and creators.

Community newsletters are perfect for sending updates, links to your new content, sponsorship and monetization opportunities etc.

Community sidebar

A more detailed community sidebar has now been added to all communities.

Community moderators

Added the ability for a creator to add moderators to their community.

SEO and OpenGraph

Added core technical SEO implementations, including OpenGraph. This will help your community and posts rank better on the search engines.

Bug fixes

Many bug fixes and some code refactoring (cleaning up the code a bit). Did you experience any bugs? Or have any suggestions? Let us know in /c/feedback.

That's roughly it off the top of my head. I hope you are as excited to see where OddsRabbit ends up as I am. I believe this platform has the potential to change how creators connect with their communities and build sustainable businesses.

This ended up being a bigger wall of text than I expected.
